Bouncy Castle Accidents
Children love to play and bouncy castles and other inflatable play equipment. However, like most children’s play equipment, safety is paramount and vendors of such facilities are obliged by law to ensure children are safe and secure whilst playing. In May 2008 at 11 years of age, Sam Harris suffered a "very serious and traumatic brain injury" when a taller, heavier 15-year-old performed a somersault on a bouncy castle. He now required round the clock care and was awarded just of £1million in compensation. The judge found the owner of the bouncy castle liable and said that they "failed to pay close enough attention to the bouncy castle". In July 2006, two women were killed and a dozen adults and children when a large bouncy castle was lifted 120ft into the air then crashed to the ground. Fortunately, most accidents that occur on inflatable play equipment are not as serious but they may still result in cuts, bruises or in some cases, broken bones. If this is you or your child, you may be entitled to claim personal injury compensation. Our service to you
